Customer Challenge
Associated Air Products is a local air products supplier, and one of our value-added vendors. Their existing HVAC equipment was at the end of its useful life, and they were looking into expanding their facility. They are also the local Diakin Authorized Representative and wished to showcase their facility filled with Diakin environmentally conscious equipment. DMI is the certified to install, service, and repair this unique HVAC system.

DMI Solution
This Design/Build project was based on Diakin Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) equipment. We installed two Diakin VRV heat pump / air conditioning systems. The eight ton system is a heat recovery system which allows for heating and cooling at the same time, from one condensing unit connected to multiple evaporators.

In addition to reducing energy consumption, the building was more comfortable with each office / room having its own thermostat. In the summer, the VRV system keeps the equipment in operation at reduced capacity which provides for much better dehumidification compared to conventional air conditioning equipment.

Highlights
Reduced energy consumption by 30%! The system is also very quiet. The condenser is capable of providing both heating and cooling by connecting to multiple evaporators. The systems uses environmentally friendly R410A refrigerant. They also received a favorable rate change by going to all electric rates.
