Customer Challenge
The Deramus Building, located in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, is a seven-story building managed by the MC Realty Group. Americo Life is the major tenant occupying all seven floors. Built in the 1950's, the owner understood that upgrading the mechanical system would only improve his bottom line.

DMI Solution
Design Mechanical's involvement in the project included running the total MEP on a complete HVAC system Design/Build upgrade. Careful coordination with all subcontractors was vital since the entire project was performed while tenants were running their day-to-day operations. After the HVAC system upgrade, our Small Projects Team remodeled all seven floors to complete this project.

Highlights
New cooling tower installation, base mechanical upgrade / renovation and seven floors of HVAC tenant finish. The chiller change-out was quite a challenge with very little room for error.
